As you plan for the upcoming 2020-21 academic year, we want to point out a few important issues that may effect the payment of tuition and fees.
Every Student will be charged for Optional Tuition Refund Insurance offered by A.W.G. Dewar in the fall semester billing of each academic year. The rate for 2020-21 is not yet available (2019-20 rate is $206.00 per semester). This elective insurance plan significantly extends or enhances the College's refund policy. Subject to policy conditions, the policy assures at least a 75 percent return in term fees in the event of withdrawal due to illness or accident. The optional tuition refund insurance must be waived online prior to the beginning of fall semester classes. Please pay close attention to the waiver deadline of August 27, 2020. The plan provides coverage for tuition, room, board, and student activities fees. Room-rate coverage is restricted to the standard residence hall double-occupancy fee. Adjustments in coverage are not made for variations in the actual living arrangement.
All students will be automatically enrolled in this tuition insurance program unless they complete the waiver to opt out online at http://tuitionprotection.com/kenyoncollege. Waivers must be completed no later than August 27, 2020. A waiver is only required one time for the academic year; therefore if you waive the fall semester coverage, you will not be billed the spring premium and will not be enrolled in the plan for the spring semester.
The spring insurance premium will be billed in November on the spring semester tuition and fees billing invoice.
Optional Student Health Insurance – Plan 2: Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliant student health insurance plan for the 2020-21 academic year.
