Content Area Courses at Kenyon

There are no specific content area course requirements. Content area courses are needed to prepare the student for content area licensure exams and are usually part of a student’s normal course of study. All content area courses are taken at Kenyon.

The partnership may expand to other areas, but currently is primarily focused on four areas of expertise:

  • Language arts
  • Mathematics
  • Science (dual-focus or integrated)
  • Social studies

Coursework must be completed to cover the topics listed in the content area frameworks and as advised by Capital University representatives. Students must work with academic advisors and the pre-teaching advisor to ensure that content area courses cover the required content in order to be successful in the subject area licensure exam.
