This schedule provides an overview of general Commencement Weekend activities.
Register for housing and meals
Thursday, May 15
- 10 a.m. Mandatory Commencement and Senior Sing rehearsal for seniors. Caps and gowns will be distributed at this time on the Toan Track in the Lowry Center.
- 3 - 10 p.m. Registration and information center open.
- 5 - 7 p.m. Dinner in Peirce Dining Hall servery.
Friday, May 16
- 7:30 - 9 a.m. Breakfast in Peirce Dining Hall servery.
- 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. Registration and information center open.
- 9 a.m. South Campus Architectural Tour, meet outside the North door of the Church of the Holy Spirit.
- 9 a.m. Baccalaureate rehearsal (student speakers and platform party only).
- 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Lunch in the Peirce Dining Hall servery.
- 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Lunch for KEEP/STEM/REACH seniors and their families in the Alumni Dining Room on the lower level of Peirce Hall.
- Noon. The emergency siren is tested at noon every Friday. Do not be alarmed.
- 1:30 p.m. Baccalaureate service, Toan Track Lowry Center
- 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. President's reception for seniors, parents and guests. Multi Activity Court, Lowry Center
- 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Faculty seminar presentation, Global Learning: Greece and the Galápagos, in the Community Foundation Theater, The Gund.
- 4:30 - 6 p.m. Departmental receptions in various locations.
- 6 - 8 p.m. Local foods dinner in Peirce Dining Hall.
Saturday, May 17
- 7:30 - 9 a.m. Breakfast in Peirce Dining Hall servery.
- 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Registration and information center open.
- 8:30 a.m. Commencement rehearsal (platform party only).
- 9:45 a.m. Seniors, faculty and staff line up for the ceremony procession.
- 10 a.m. All guests must check out of their residences and turn in room keys at the registration and information center.
- 10:30 a.m. 197th Commencement ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, graduates will process to the steps of Rosse Hall for the Senior Sing followed by a boxed lunch picnic. Boxed lunch tickets will be available while supplies last at the registration and information center.
- 7 p.m. College residences close. All students must be finished packing and out of their residences. Room keys must be turned in at the express check-out table in the Kenyon College Bookstore or at the Office of Residential Life in Gund Commons.
