Assistant Professor of Biology and Environmental Studies Iris Levin connects with local farmers — landowners who partner with the Philander Chase Conservancy land trust — to engage Kenyon students in studying the hundreds of barn swallows who call the farmers’ barns home. Through a multi-year, hands-on research project, they explore these birds’ social behaviors and build relationships in the community.
