You’ll find more information below about the check-in process — picking up your room key and moving into your residence hall — and a preliminary schedule for the two-day experience before Fall Orientation. A more detailed schedule will be shared at check-in.

Thursday, August 20

Complimentary coffee is available all day at Peirce Dining Hall.

9 - 11 a.m. New Student Pre-Orientation Check-in, Gund Commons

Students will check in for Pre-Orientation, pick up their room keys, and conduct other essential business to get the day started. Important support services will be available in person or in their offices to assist students and family members.

9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Kenyon Support Services Available

  • Kenyon College Bookstore, Farr Hall, 108 Gaskin Ave.
  • Campus Mail Room, 8:30 a.m. - noon, 1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Gund Commons, lower level

Join the First-Year Experience Office and additional staff members for a complimentary dinner.

Following dinner, parent and family participation in Pre-Orientation programming is complete. Parents and family members are also invited to participate in Fall Orientation activities starting Saturday, August 22. The Opening Convocation will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.

6 - 8 p.m. Unstructured Time for Students

8 - 9:30 p.m. Bingo Bonanza, Gund Commons

Hang out and play bingo with your fellow Pre-Orientation participants to win great prizes including Kenyon swag, a TV, Jelly Cats and more! Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Meet your Fall Orientation leaders to walk to the Lowry Center to pick up the materials you will need for Fall Orientation including a t-shirt and name tag.

1:30 p.m. Meet to walk to Orientation Kick-off, Residence hall lobbies

Students and family members who are still in the residence halls, meet your CAs in your residence hall lobbies to walk to the Fall Orientation kickoff.

2 p.m. Fall Orientation Kick-off, Toan Track, Lowry Center

The official kickoff of Fall Orientation for students and guests. Learn what to expect through the program and beyond. At the end of the event, students will meet their Fall Orientation groups. *Fall Orientation group assignments will be on name tags and shared via Kenyon emails.
