Fall Orientation at a Glance

Thursday, August 19

The first day's schedule includes New Student Check-in and the Fall Orientation Kick-off at the Lowry Center, information about Kenyon support services, meetings with your Orientation Group and Community Advisors, sessions and a reception for family members and the first of many student social events in the evening.

Friday, August 20

Opening Convocation welcomes new students, followed by the New Student Sing; families are welcome and encouraged to attend before departing the campus. Sunday also includes faculty advising meetings, language placement exams and the Kenyon Carnival, an evening of arcade games, snacks, music and prizes.

Saturday, August 21

Saturday activities will include first-year community engagement experiences. Stay tuned for more information!

August 22-25

Social and educational Orientation programming for students continues including Orientation Group information sessions, course registration support and academic department presentations. Evening social activities include trivia, a silent disco and more. Orientation is capped off by the traditional Convening Dinner.

Thursday, August 26

Classes begin as the semester gets into full swing. Multiple offices will be set up along Middle Path to provide information and celebrate the beginning of the semester with students. You can also check out athletics.kenyon.edu for information about our teams and the full athletics schedule. 

Saturday, August 28

Visit the Lowry Center between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for the Student Engagement Fair, which includes lunch (the Peirce Hall servery will be closed). Learn more about the many ways to get involved outside the classroom and meet representatives from student organizations, offices and community partners. You can also browse information online about student clubs and organizations.
