When climbers get close to the summit of Mount Everest, they find one last place to rest and gain strength: a plateau at the edge of the atmosphere, known as "Camp 4." Transitioning from high school to college is exciting and intimidating. Our program provides that space to recharge and gain momentum for the journey from high school to college, providing you with the tools and resources you need to graduate and meet the new environment of higher education with success.

A three-week summer program on the Kenyon campus, Camp 4 brings together talented rising high school juniors and seniors from across the country for an immersion in the college experience.

Dig Deep into the ‘Why’

Camp 4 coursework challenges you — you’ll study subjects including American history, creative writing, neuroscience and art, with an emphasis on critical thinking and clear writing.

Live in a Residential Community

During your three-week stay, you will become a vital part of Kenyon’s summer community. Students live in campus housing with residential assistants and staff, taking time each evening to go on scavenger hunts or nature walks, play ping pong or chat with current college students about their life on campus.

Tackle the College Admissions Process

Through one-on-one advising sessions with admissions counselors and workshops, we help you find strategies for your college search and empower you to take on the application process with confidence.

Camp 4 takes place June 9 - 28, 2024. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning in January.

“I learned who I was, and learned to appreciate other people for who they were. I learned what I was capable of.”
