If Kenyon is your first choice, we encourage you to consider applying as an Early Decision candidate. While it varies from year to year, about 40 to 45 percent of each first-year class enrolls through Early Decision.
What to know about Early Decision
- You’ll hear from us early. Early Decision 1 applicants receive their decision in mid-December, and Early Decision 2 applications receive theirs in mid-February.
- You’ll be considered on the same terms as all other applicants. That includes your eligibility for merit scholarships and financial aid.
- It’s a binding commitment. You'll guarantee that you've filed no other Early Decision applications, and if admitted, you'll withdraw your other regular applications and enroll at Kenyon. This choice is best suited to you if you’re certain you want to be at Kenyon.
Two options for applying Early Decision
- Early Decision 1: The deadline is November 15, and decisions will be released mid-Decemeber.
- Early Decision 2: The deadline is January 15, and decisions will be released in mid-February.
