Under the Early Decision process, candidates who feel strongly that Kenyon is their first choice commit to attend the College if offered admission; they also guarantee that they have filed no other Early Decision applications and that they will withdraw any regular applications if admitted to Kenyon.

Early Decision candidates are evaluated by the same standards as all other applicants; including eligibility for all merit scholarships and financial aid.

The percentage of each incoming class enrolled by Kenyon in early decision varies from year to year but averages approximately 40 to 45 percent of the first-year class.
