The Kenyon Parents Council met on campus in March for their annual spring meeting.
In addition to welcoming new members and sharing their impressions of their students' experiences, the fifty-five parent leaders in attendance heard from President Kornfeld and members of Senior Staff on upcoming priorities and initiatives, federal and state legislation and its impact or possible impact on Kenyon, and received an update on the admissions and enrollment landscape.
Small group discussions included topics around President Kornfeld's plans for Kenyon's third century, including integrated career exploration opportunities; further discussion around legislation and DEI efforts and student support; and student and parent orientation programming and messaging.
The group discussed their financial contributions to Kenyon, including the opportunity to support the upcoming Kenyon Together giving days, April 8-9. The meetings concluded by recognizing the departing members whose students are graduating in the Class of 2025, acknowledging outgoing KPC Chairs, Nikki and Brian Selden P'25, and announcing next year's Chairs, Becky and Grant Tolson P'26.
