COVID-19 Update: Moderate alert extended through Wednesday

On Oct. 26, 2020, the College announced that the campus will remain at a moderate level of alert through Wednesday, when conditions on campus and in the region will be reassessed.

Kenyon will remain at moderate alert through Wednesday, when we will reassess conditions on campus and in our region. Thank you for your faithful adherence to the directives of the quiet period — it has served our community well thus far.

Recent Test Results

Of the tests administered last week, all but 1 result received were negative; 9 results are pending and 22 were unable to be processed due to sample problems. Knox Public Health is overseeing the care of 1 person in isolation, and has identified and provided guidance to anyone who was in close contact with that person. A total of 7 students are in quarantine. The dashboard will be updated this evening to reflect this and any additional data logged today.

* Minors should schedule an appointment with Health Services (740-427-5525 or health@kenyon.edu) during their designated week of testing to receive their COVID-19 test.

Operations

Quiet period restrictions remain in place. Please note that while no new admissions or athletics tours are being scheduled, previously scheduled tours may proceed. This is to ensure that visitors do not explore campus on their own and that they strictly adhere to the College’s public health directives, including wearing masks and refraining from entering academic or residential buildings.
