This workshop will offer advice on crafting short answer responses and a Statement of Grant Purpose for fellowship and scholarship applications. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program will provide a representative example, but the information covered is helpful for any fellowship application.

There’s no need to have started an application before the workshop. Attend this session to begin the process of writing effective statements.

Please join us in Chalmers Library 320 on Thursday, April 16, at 4:30 p.m.

The Fulbright Fellowship offers opportunities for U.S. Citizens to teach English, pursue professional study, or conduct advanced research in one of 140 countries. Students looking to go abroad in the academic year following graduation should begin applying for a Fulbright in the spring of their junior year. The campus Fulbright application deadline is the first Wednesday in September (9/2/2026). Alumni, including May grads, are eligible to apply.
