Kathryn Brechler Lake, a native of the State of Iowa, has lived in Knox County for the past thirty-five years. She graduated from Columbus Business University and then attended the Ohio State University, where she majored in communications and education. Kathryn is also a licensed real-estate agent and a notary public.

Kathryn has served Kenyon’s Office of the President for the past twenty years as assistant to president, assistant secretary to the board and corporation, and now as director of board relations and presidential and community events. Locally, she has been a member of the boards of United Way of Knox County and the Knox Community Hospital Foundation. Kathryn currently serves as a member of the Events Committee of Mount Vernon’s Ariel-Foundation Park, a member of the Leadership Knox Committee of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, and a trustee of the Knox Partnership for Arts and Culture. Nationally, she is a member of the Leadership Planning Committee of the Association of Governing Boards’ Workshop Committee. Kathryn has presented at the AGB’s annual workshop on topics such as trustee orientation, presidential transitions, and retreat and event planning.
