Research opportunities abound at Kenyon. There are so many opportunities it can be hard to capture them all, but we try to do so here.
Campus Internships
There are around 1,400 positions filled on campus each year. Add a new dimension to your Kenyon experience by working behind the scenes in a department, with a faculty member, or with one of our renowned partner organizations: the Kenyon Review, Philander Chase Organization, the Center for the Study of American Democracy and The Gund.
Internships at Home and Abroad
Use your off-campus study semester (or year) to gain experience either through one of our experiential partner programs like NY Arts and the Philadelphia Center, or abroad in one of dozens of internship-embedded programs.

Earn Credit for your Internship
Want to earn academic credit for your internship? Kenyon offers courses where you reflect on an internship experiences and earn credits toward graduation. The CDO also offers a Rewards Program to incentivize internship participation.

There are many ways to gain experience while immersing yourself in the richness of Knox County, Ohio. The neighboring town, Mount Vernon, was rated one of the best cities in Ohio by Ohio magazine in 2025 and offers a range of opportunities to gain experience, build your resume, and learn about the its people, culture, and history.

Offered through the Office of Community Partnerships, CEL courses provide community-based hands-on projects within courses.
Community Internship Program
The Community Internship Program offers a world of internship opportunities just minutes from campus. Area employers host Kenyon students for structured internships for 5-10 hours per week during the academic year.
