Welcome to the Cox Center Health Services! Health Services functions much like a primary care office for enrolled students, offering comprehensive, student-centered medical care in a compassionate, equitable, and unbiased environment. Our team — including nurses, nurse practitioners, a physician, and dedicated front desk support staff — is experienced in addressing the unique health needs of college students and provides care for both acute concerns, such as illnesses or injuries, and chronic conditions like asthma or diabetes. Care provided in the Cox Health and Counseling Center is covered by the student health and counseling fee included in tuition. However, students are required to carry health insurance to cover any services that may occur outside the Cox Center, such as lab work, imaging, prescriptions, or referrals to specialists.

Located on the first floor of the Cox Health and Counseling Center, Health Services is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (closed from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. for lunch) while classes are in session.

Health Insurance

All Kenyon students must be covered by a health insurance plan. Students are eligible for and included in the Student Health Benefits Plan facilitated by Aetna unless coverage has specifically been waived. This plan is fully compliant with the Affordable Care Act and is required for all full-time students who are not covered under their family’s domestic health/hospitalization plan, an individual health plan or Medicaid.

The health and counseling fee, paid each year, covers your visits to the Cox Health and Counseling Center. However, if you need specialty care, diagnostic testing, referrals and medications, you will need to pay co-pays, deductibles and coinsurance when using the College health plan.
