Junior Visit Days

Our wide-open campus in Gambier, Ohio, is open for junior visit programs February 17, March 21, March 24 and March 28. Take a tour, talk with a panel of students about life at Kenyon, and participate in a workshop on how to conduct a meaningful college search. Families are invited to attend a session on the admissions and financial aid process.

Program Schedule

9:30 - 10 a.m. Registration

The day begins in the living room in Lowell House.

10:10 - 11 a.m. Welcome and Student Panel

Participate in a panel presentation of students discussing life at Kenyon and answering your questions.

11:10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Campus Tour

Take a tour led by a student guide and learn about the academic experience and campus life.

12:10 - 1 p.m. Lunch for Students and Parents

Enjoy lunch and conversation with members of the Kenyon community.

1:10 - 2:10 p.m. Workshops

Students and parents will enjoy separate workshops geared towards their roles in the college admission process. 

• Students: College Admissions Workshop
  Participate in a workshop run by our admissions directors who will provide helpful insight into the college admissions process.
• For Parents: Preparing for College Workshop
  Learn about the application process and financing a college education from admissions and financial aid experts. There will be time for a question-and-answer session.

2:10 - 3 p.m. Admissions Reception and Specialty Tours

Enjoy refreshments and continued conversation with admissions directors and Kenyon students and/or take part in one of our specialized campus tours. You may choose from one of the following:

• Arts: Explore Kenyon’s performance and studio art spaces and learn about opportunities for interdisciplinary learning.
• Athletics: The spacious and architecturally stunning Lowry Center is equipped with top-flight facilities. Please note: the return walk is uphill and can be semi-strenuous for some.
• English and Creative Writing: Learn more about writing at Kenyon, from majoring in English to joining the student associate team at the Kenyon Review.
• Sciences: This student-led tour will take you through the Science Quad, where you will see classrooms, labs and perhaps some research in progress.
