Through this pathway, you can earn your associate degree from Lorain County Community College and receive direct admission to Kenyon, where you can pursue a major in English or environmental studies. In partnership with LCCC, we have designed a structured support system and comprehensive financial aid package to guide you through the transfer process.

English and Creative Writing
Kenyon is known for its long-standing literary tradition, rooted in its history with the Kenyon Review and its hallmark English department. Guided by faculty who are renowned teachers and critically acclaimed writers and poets, students explore a diversity of critical and creative approaches to the study of literature.
Environmental Studies
Guided by faculty with expertise in climate change, wetlands preservation, macroecology and microbiology, students study the complex systems that lie at the heart of humans’ interaction with the natural world. Our 700-acre Brown Family Environmental Center provides a living laboratory for conducting field research in a range of habitats.
Eligibility at a Glance
To qualify for direct admission and the full financial benefits of the program, students must:

Maintain a minimum 3.25 GPA at LCCC.

Earn an associate of arts degree from LCCC (completed within four years of high school graduation).

Obtain a letter of recommendation from an LCCC faculty member familiar with your work.

Enroll at Kenyon within the same calendar year of completing your associate degree.

Commit to attending and living at Kenyon as a full-time student for a minimum of two academic years.
