The Kenyon Keys Student Research Grants provide support for students to conduct site-specific research related to one or more of the Kenyon Keys: Data & Technology, Democracy & Publics, Global & Local, Health & Community, Making & Knowing, Sustainability & Society. Keys grants support projects at various stages of development and provide funding for travel, accommodations, meals or other expenses necessary to conduct research and develop projects in a sustained way at archives, libraries, institutes, centers or other sites off campus. This distinguishes Keys grants from the Kenyon Summer Scholars Program, which supports research on campus or that is closely connected to faculty research.

Proposals will be considered for a wide range of projects, from writing a research paper or curating a virtual exhibition, to contributing to a syllabus for a course or teaching a unit to local students, to producing a visual or audio production, and more. Projects may relate to more than one Key, but only one Keys grant will be awarded for any single project. If you are unsure whether your project fits the grant criteria, please reach out to the committee at keysprogramming@kenyon.edu
