Intern at the Knox County Board of Elections

Work for the Knox County Board of Elections (BOE) and gain a behind-the-scenes perspective of elections administration. The BOE is seeking an intern for the fall and spring semesters. The intern will learn all the critical elements of election data entry and ballot processing and assist in a long-term research project examining voting precinct consolidation and reorganization.

  • Location: 104 East Sugar Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050
  • Compensation: $18 per hour; 8 hours per week
  • Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen and registered voter

Run by Harvard founders, Ladder Internships is a selective start-up internship program for college students. In the program, students work 1-1 with top start-ups on real-world projects. Companies in the program cover industries like AI & Machine Learning, healthcare, finance and biotech. The company founders come from places like the Y Combinator, Goldman Sachs, Google, Microsoft and McKinsey & Company. The next application deadline for the 2025 winter cohort is Nov. 16.
