Winter Break Off the Beaten Path

Not all aspects of student life went into hibernation during winter break. Some students continued their work in athletics, the arts and career exploration.

Winter break for many means a time to relax — maybe with a good book or time catching up with loved ones. For some, though, that quality time between semesters was spent with their extended Kenyon family.

Athletes involved in winter sports such as basketball and swimming and diving continued to practice and compete, while a cappella singers toured with their groups. Those interested in exploring careers connected with alumni for job shadows and other learning opportunities. One student even visited with Lady Kenyon in England! Here are a few highlights.

Pre-med Trek

Students with an interest in careers in healthcare took a tour of Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus and met with medical professionals there as part of a “trek” organized by the Career Development Office on Jan. 9. Other students took time to follow alumni during job shadows.
