In an effort to expand the voices around the leadership table, Kenyon’s senior staff will increase from 14 to 21 members, starting this academic year. New members include the vice chair of the faculty, the dean of students, the interim director of athletics, the director of human resources, the associate vice president for finance, the associate vice president for information technology, and the senior director of presidential operations. This group will meet monthly with President Kornfeld to offer input on College priorities, policies and operations. President Kornfeld will also meet with a cabinet composed of the provost, the chair of the faculty, and the vice presidents, to make strategic institutional decisions, considering input from the senior staff and other governing bodies.
A complete list of senior staff and cabinet members can be found on Kenyon’s website.
Starting Sept. 17, cabinet members will hold weekly open office hours in Chalmers Library 301. Staff, faculty and students are invited to stop by to learn more about the College’s operations and priorities, offer suggestions, or raise questions or concerns. To be accessible to the greatest number of people, office hours will rotate between Wednesdays, 4-6 p.m., and Thursdays, 11 a.m.-1 p.m (see schedule). Members of the Kenyon community may also reach out to cabinet members directly to schedule an appointment.
