It was a picture-perfect scene last week as members of the Class of 2030 and transfer students arrived in Gambier, ready to take their first steps as part of the Kenyon community.
Carloads of things came with them on Move-in Day, when new students and their families — as well as a host of returning student helpers — streamed into residence halls, making themselves at home and getting to know their new classmates.
They joined peers who arrived just a couple of days earlier to participate in one of the College’s six pre-orientation engagement communities, exploring topics like the arts, sustainability, global and local engagement, student leadership and wellness.
Together, Kenyon’s newest members brought energy and excitement — and maybe a few butterflies — to a campus gearing up for another academic year.
