Gundies Recognize Student Accomplishments

The Gundies awards, organized by the Office of Student Engagement, commend student success and organizational impact.

Kenyon offers more than 100 student clubs and organizations, and some of their top leaders and programs were celebrated Thursday night during a special awards ceremony at Gund Commons.

Known as The Gundies — a playful reference to “The Dundies” given out in the sitcom “The Office” — the awards were established last year by the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) as a way to spotlight the impressive work being done on campus by students.

“Recognizing our student organizations and their leaders for the impact they have on our campus is something to be celebrated. They are vital in creating spaces that foster belonging and engagement,” said Sarah Toby, director of student engagement. “An event like The Gundies is a small way OSE can say thank you, we see your hard work, and value what each group brings to campus in furthering the mission of what student engagement looks like at Kenyon.“

The nine winners of the 2025-2026 Gundies were nominated by fellow students and selected by a committee of staff members representing academic affairs and student affairs.
