COVID-19 Booster and Influenza Vaccination Update

With flu season right around the corner and the new COVID-19 booster available, vaccination remains our best protection against serious illness.

Date

It is strongly recommended that students and employees receive the COVID-19 bivalent booster as soon as possible. The flu vaccine is also required for students and recommended for employees.

Please contact Health Services at health@kenyon.edu or 740-427-5525 with any questions.

On-Campus Vaccine Availability

The flu vaccine is free and readily available to students at the Cox Health and Counseling Center. Students are encouraged to call or email Health Services at 740-427-5525 or health@kenyon.edu to schedule a time. If students receive the flu shot off campus, they will need to provide documentation in the PyraMED student health portal

An on-campus clinic for students, tentatively scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will offer both the COVID-19 bivalent booster and the flu vaccine. This clinic will be operated by Knox Public Health (KPH) and is dependent on their vaccine supply; details will be confirmed as the clinic approaches. Students should bring their ID and insurance card to the clinic; however, students without an insurance card will still be able to receive both vaccines.

Off-Campus Vaccine Availability

KPH will offer a drive-thru clinic at the Knox County Fairgrounds (601 Fairgrounds Road, Mount Vernon) on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., offering both the COVID-19 bivalent booster and the flu vaccine. Bring your ID and insurance card.

KPH will also offer a clinic for the COVID-19 bivalent booster only on Friday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Energy Field House (101 Yellow Jacket Drive, Mount Vernon). Bring your ID and insurance card.
