Victoria Loong serves as the policy manager at We the People of Detroit (WPD) working with community groups, youth and policymakers to advocate for clean, safe and affordable water. Her service to WPD builds on over eight years of racial equity work across sectors including education and philanthropy.

Co-founded in 2008 by Chris Griffith, Aurora Harris, Monica Lewis-Patrick, Cecily McClellan and Debra Taylor, We the People of Detroit aims to inform, educate and empower Detroit residents on imperative issues surrounding civil rights, land, water, education, and the democratic process. WPD has risen as a leader in the fight for clean, safe, and affordable water and has worked tenaciously with its network of volunteers to provide water to Detroit residents and advocate for a sustainable water future.
