Join Jackie Samandas, who comes from a family of Ukrainian refugees, and the College chaplains for a vigil for Ukraine in light of over 10+ years of Russian illegal occupation of Ukrainian territory and 2+ years of Russia's full-scale invasion in Ukraine. Together we'll collectively honor Ukrainian victims of war and observe, acknowledge and engage with emotions and feelings concerning the war.
Some activities/things you can expect:
- introduction and closing from the College chaplains
- readings of poetry by Jackie
- anything you'd like to share
- journaling
- candle lighting
- pierogies and sweets from Cindy's Pierogies
Kenyon is a community with a LOT of Heart. This event offers a space for us to tend and take care of it.
