Awareness of "imposter syndrome" has become more pervasive in U.S. popular culture. However, the phenomenon is often mischaracterized by self-help articles and well-meaning social media posts as an individual issue that can be overcome through personal development. This virtual event seeks to challenge the perception of impostor phenomenon as a "you" problem.

Through dialogue and storytelling, Melzetta and Ted will share vulnerable moments in their own professional journeys to highlight and explore the systemic foundations of imposter phenomenon. They will also discuss how they, as managers and leaders, work to shape the cultures of their respective organizations to mitigate the impacts of imposterism.

A welcome message and introduction will be provided by Associate Provost for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Special Advisor to the President and Professor of English Ted Mason.
