Our wine tasting panel is coming back due to popular demand. Because we had a good response to our event in September, alumni are once again invited to join the Class of 1972 for a fun and casual virtual wine tasting guided by fellow alumnus Edward Cohen '74 and wine tasting leaders Rick Alles '72, Bruce Mavec '72 and Chris Fahlman '72.

This event is designed for wine novices, as well as experienced vino enthusiasts. Attendees will be entertained as the tasting leaders help them discuss, guess and reveal each bottle of wine brought to the event. (A note for those more experienced with wine tasting, the event will take its cues from the WSET Systematic Approach to wine tasting.)

This time around, we are suggesting participants bring a wine they are passionate about and possibly one they would be sharing with family and friends at a holiday meal this season. For an extra challenge, the panel will try to guess if the wine is an Old World (traditional European wine producing countries) or New World wine (from anywhere else). If you are going to ask the panel this question, the wine will have to be a single grape wine. This, of course, is optional. What is important is to join us and have fun and see fellow classmates.

Materials, including a tasting note form, will be emailed to event registrants before the event. Attendees who would like a bottle of wine to be evaluated, may bring a single red grape variety of wine (not a blend) that sells for $30 or less.

Please register for this free event by Tuesday, Dec. 7.
