Linnea Mumma is a senior at Kenyon double majoring in music and English. A recipient of the Music Merit Scholarship, she has been singing since middle school under the direction of Tim Welch and Terence Goff. During high school, she sang in choir and school musicals, and she was accepted into summer programs at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Music Mountain, and the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory. Over the past four years at Kenyon, she has studied voice with Jennifer Marcellana and has been a soloist and member of the Kenyon College Chamber Singers, as well as the Opera & Musical Theater Workshop. She has also soloed and performed with the choir at Harcourt Parish Episcopal Church. In 2021, she received first place in the Knox
County Symphony’s Young Musicians competition after previously earning second place in 2019. She plans to continue to sing as a soloist and choir member once she leaves Gambier, and has greatly cherished her musical experiences in her time as an undergraduate student.
