Kenyon College Dance, Drama & Cinema Club (KCDC) presents a production of "Godspell," music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and directed by Jonathan Tazewell, the Thomas S. Turgeon Professor of Drama and Film, Oct. 17 - 19, 2024, in the Bolton Theater.
This revised version of "Godspell," the magical contemporary retelling of the gospel according to Matthew, by John Michael Tebelak and composer Stephen Schwartz, was updated in 2012. A show that brings to life the story of a radical Palestinian rabbi named Jesus of Nazareth and a group of his followers. A story of abundant love set against the backdrop of our modern world with all our broken humanity. This familiar musical will seep into your heart and ask you to look at your soul.
There will be a talkback session following the production on Monday, Oct. 21, from noon - 1 p.m. in the Leach Dining Room in Peirce Hall. All are welcome to attend.
