How did printing and publishing make scientific discovery possible in the early stages of the Scientific Revolution? We'll look at the mathematical, astronomical, and natural philosophical books collected in the 19th C. by J. N. Lewis of Mount Vernon and now in Kenyon Special Collections, including works by Nicolas Copernicus, Tycho Brahe, Johannes Kepler, Francis Bacon, Johannes Hevelius, Isaac Newton and others, to see the way that new ideas were developed and transmitted.

Join us on Friday, April 26 for this exciting presentation and tour of Kenyon's Special Collections with Dr. Piers Brown, associate professor of English. Lunch will be available in Hayes 216 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. and we will begin walking to Chalmers at 12:10 p.m. We hope to see you there!
