The Knox County Symphony will present its Winter Concert on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Rosse Hall Auditorium on the Kenyon College campus in Gambier, Ohio. The symphony, conducted by Benjamin Locke, is in its 58th consecutive season of providing classical music to the community.

The Winter Concert features the winners of the annual Young Musicians Competition.  This year the winners in the High School Division are Natasha Jose, violin, and Emma Fowler, flute. Natasha, a senior at Mount Vernon High School, will perform "Czardas" by Vittorio Monti. Emma, a senior at Fredericktown High School, will perform "Fantasie brillante sur Carmen" by François Borne.

The winners in the Collegiate Division are Samuel Rabieh, violin, Elijah Lisboa, viola, and Megan Vollrath, mezzo-soprano. Samuel, a sophomore at Kenyon, will perform "The Fiddle Concerto" by Mark O’Connor. Elijah, a first-year student at Kenyon, will perform "Rhapsody" by Ernest Bloch. Megan, a senior at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, will perform two songs: "Quella fiamma che m’accende" by Benedetto Marcello, and "Voi che sapete" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The Young Musicians Competition is co-sponsored by the Psi Iota Xi Sorority, who will also provide the reception following the concert.
