Ayla is a program associate for Hudson Institute Political Studies. Prior to joining Hudson, she managed a portfolio on military workforce issues at Business Executives for National Security and served on the Military, Veterans and Society Team at the Center for a New American Security. She was previously a 2021 summer fellow with Hudson Institute Political Studies.
Ayla majored in political science and public policy at Kenyon, graduating with highest honors for her senior thesis, "Who is Guarding the Guardians?: Tracking Changes in Civil-Military Relations in the United States from Vietnam to the Forever Wars." She is currently pursuing a master's in security studies at Georgetown University.
