Are you interested in discussing the role gender is playing in the upcoming election? How about why the U.S. lags behind so many other countries in terms of gender parity in political participation? Or, are you interested in exploring the ways in which these dynamics affect our lives at Kenyon (for example, even though there are more women than men at Kenyon overall, there are fewer women PSCI majors...)? Most importantly, are you looking to build a supportive community that can help put further cracks in the glass ceiling of politics? If so, then you should come to the Department of Political Science's Gender and Politics bi-monthly coffee break!

Each event will welcome a new guest who will speak about their experiences navigating gender and politics. These guests will also help students to network and build a supportive community. This coming Thursday, we will speak with Julia McKay '17. Julia is currently a graduate student at Tufts University. Previously, she worked at Human Rights First. She is also a writer for Just Security and other blogs.

The coffee break is open to anyone interested in exploring issues related to gender and politics. Please feel free to drop by for as long, or as short as you like!

Join via Zoom.
