The Office of Green Initiatives will offer electronic recycling from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6. Bring all your old electronic devices or appliances down to the Gambier Community Center at 115 Meadow Lane (between the center and the dog park at the big grey shipping container).
We accept anything with a circuit board or a wire except air conditioning units, dehumidifiers and refrigerators.
There is a $20 charge to recycle televisions and a $10 charge for laptops and computer monitors. All fees go towards making sure that your electronics are safely recycled.
COVID-19 Precautions
- Be prepared to unload your own material at the specified location.
- Checks (payable to Kenyon College) or exact change only will be accepted for recycling TVs ($20), laptops and monitors ($10).
- Maintain social distancing at all times.
With the support of Knox County Litter Prevention and Recycling and the Delaware, Knox, Marion and Morrow Joint Solid Waste District, Kenyon hosts regular electronic recycling days at the Gambier Community Center. The program diverts electronic waste from regional landfills and ensures recyclable aspects of electronic devices get a second chance at service. The program is open to the public.
