Yu Miyake will speak about the process of producing plays, including adaptations from film and manga, and her continued exploration of queer themes in the theater.

Yu is a Japanese theater and film producer and the founder of Zuu, a Tokyo-based theater company focusing on LGBTQ+ productions. With extensive experience in marketing communication and production management, she has held roles at companies such as NIPPON Becton Dickinson Inc., GRACO Inc., and Japan Press. At Zuu, Yu continues to lead in both theater and film production while also being a member of the Japan P.E.N., part of the global PEN International network. Yu holds a B.A. in publishing and visual studies from Oxford Brookes University and a B.A. in art history from Tama Art University.
