Join this global event to learn about the life of Frederick Douglass (and his 1877 visit to Mount Vernon, Ohio). This event will include:
- Transcription (typing print materials) from his contemporaries for the U.S. archives. This year, we're transcribing the work of the Colored Conventions Project.
- See Douglass's 1855 autobiography and visit the Bulmash Exhibit Room for the Black History of Knox County display (Chalmers Library, level 1).
- We'll also hold a raffle and offer cake in celebration of this great man’s birthday.
