Kenyon Sin Fronteras, a student group dedicated to immigration and border advocacy, invites you to come to our upcoming event, Corridos: Immigrant Story Telling.

The event is open to anyone related to Kenyon to share stories of immigration; this applies to first-generation, second-generation and any immigrant who would like to use this platform to share their stories.

Immigration issues under the spotlight of our country; take this moment to consider if you want to connect with others and listen to our stories while also sharing yours, regardless of your place of origin.

Feel free to come and discuss anything! Possible topics you can mention are:

  • Your immigration story or someone from your family (with permission).
  • Including any stories regarding the border. This is a safe place.
  • Expression of the struggle of being an immigrant.
  • Expressions of the cultural beauty of being an immigrant.
  • How it’s like in your home country, adjusting to a new country, concepts of assimilation, biculturalism, wanting to remain connected to your home country, etc.

Feel free to stop by Finn House at 6 p.m. for the event, whether you want to share or listen to help empower others. Contact sinfronteras@kenyon.edu to RSVP or if you have any questions.
