The Kenyon community is invited to celebrate the new academic year with a feast of local bounty. On Friday, Aug. 25, our annual picnic along Middle Path will return from 5 - 8 p.m. (rain or shine).

  • Get your face painted, sponsored by the Kenyon Staff Council
  • Try your hand at fun crafts, sponsored by the Center for Global Engagement and the Office of Student Engagement
  • De-stress by coloring, sponsored by the Kenyon Interfaith Partnership
  • Grab a “zing ring” from the Office of Campus Events (while supplies last)
  • Test your knowledge with trivia sponsored by the Philander Chase Conservancy and the Kokosing Nature Preserve
  • Register to vote with the Center for the Study of American Democracy
  • Visit the Gund Gallery and check out their new exhibitions
  • Meet the Campus Mediators with the Ombuds Office

Tables and chairs will be set up along Middle Path between Ascension Hall and the Church of the Holy Spirit and on the accompanying lawns. We’ll have some “picnic blankets” available, but please feel free to bring your own blankets and/or chairs.

Faculty and staff are welcome to bring their families. Please reach out to events@kenyon.edu with any questions.

*The Peirce Hall servery will be closed after lunch. There will be no extendo, and dinner will only be served at the Community Feast.

Please note: The individual activities listed above are subject to change/cancellation pending staffing availability, etc.
