Alumni, parents and friends of the College are invited to join Professor of American Studies Peter Rutkoff for another lively discussion about one of his favorite documentary films. This discussion will center around "Seeing Red," which offers an intimate and fascinating portfolio of interviews with a group of American radicals and members of the Communist Party in the 1930s. The documentary renders this group of individuals as thoughtful and committed activists, as well as human beings, during a period of great turmoil in our country.

"Seeing Red" is directed by Jim Klein and Julia Reichert, who also directed "American Factory," the documentary discussed at Rutkoff's previous virtual event. Like last time, Rutkoff plans to host an open discussion and learn from attendees' observations and insights.

Kenyon is committed to creating inclusive events. This event will feature optional live streamed captions. Please contact us to discuss other access considerations needed to participate fully in this event.
