The current staff of the Collegian will host a conference for alumni who worked on the newspaper and those in journalism and related fields today.
The conference will provide opportunities for networking and reconnecting, headlined by a panel discussion with distinguished alumni in journalism — including Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of Bloomberg News Matt Winkler ’77 P’13 H’00 — as well as a networking lunch with the current staff and open house of the Collegian offices in Peirce Hall.
A panel discussion on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m. will be moderated by Collegian editors and feature:
- Beth Bennett '96, associate dean and professor of journalism, Northwestern Medill
- Erin Mershon '12, deputy media editor, The New York Times
- Ian Millhiser '00, senior correspondent, Vox
- AJ Rourk ’03, director of operations, The New Yorker
- Emma Specter ’15, culture writer, Vogue
Your free registration includes the Thursday evening panel as well as a networking luncheon and open house with Collegian alumni and staff Friday, Oct. 24.
