Dear classmates,

I was just discussing "Charlotte’s Web" with a student, and that greeting always reminds me of what I love almost as much as my children — reading and writing. While most of my writing these days is in the form of college recommendations or academic accommodations, nothing is better than sharing words written by someone who invites you into a conversation. Words attract, confound, excite and propel us. Whether it is a news story, poetry, education, self-discovery or sci-fi — even in this digital world — there is magic in immersing oneself in words.

As your alumni reunion committee, we are inviting you to a pre-party for our 35th reunion with a celebration of authors from our class, including Sarah Bamford, Kelly Fordon, Nick Hutchinson, Courtney Kealy, Jake Kerr and Anna Switzer. Zoom in to hear about each author's life, as well as the everyday quality of persisting to wrangle and wordsmith.

We will also have a chance to poll a reprobate cocktail/mocktail for the weekend, promote our pickleball tourney, learn about our specific class gift and catch up. See faces from yesterday or 447,000 days ago. We can remember and rediscover that we are “terrific,” “radiant,” and “humble.” The beauty of the experience is that we have left the youthful insecurities of “some pig” behind and can come together to remember the fun and create new fun.

Join us for this time. Join us to hear our classmates' voices, learn about their processes, and smile at someone from The Hill. Your reunion committee is dedicated to our class and Kenyon and trying to find intersections that bring us joy and fulfillment.

See you Feb. 1!
