Enjoy a free community concert at Mount Vernon's Ariel-Foundation Park in honor of local green organizations including Kenyon's Philander Chase Conservancy, Kokosing Nature Preserve and the Brown Family Environmental Center.

The Evening of Celebration for All Things Green will feature Vaughn Wiester's Famous Jazz Orchestra as well as food truck and drinks available for purchase. The event begins at 5 p.m. at the Schnormeier Event Center (201 S. Norton Street, Mount Vernon) with the concert starting at 6 p.m.

Hosted by Ariel-Foundation Park Conservancy as part of the park's 10th anniversary, the event also honors the 25th anniversaries of Owl Creek Conservancy and Philander Chase Conservancy; the 10th anniversary of Kokosing Nature Preserve, and the 20th anniversaries of the Brown Environmental Center and the Knox County Park District. It also welcomes Habitat for Humanity of Knox County as new neighbors to Ariel-Foundation Park.

Bring your own chair (event center chairs are available if needed), and free parking is available at the Schnormeier Event Center, Rastin Tower and Urton Clock House.
