Kenyon College Dance, Drama & Cinema Club (KCDDCC) presents "Battlefield" from "The Mahabharata" and Jean-Claude Carrière’s play, adapted by Peter Brook and Marie-Hélène Estienne and directed by Kenyon's Thomas S. Turgeon Professor of Drama and Film Jonathan Tazewell.

"Battlefield" is a collaboration between Peter Brook, the renowned and recently deceased British director, and his longtime creative partner, Marie-Hélène Estienne. This play continues the story from their famous epic play, "The Mahabharata," and picks up after the apocalyptic war between the Pandavas and their cousins, the Kauravas. The victor of the war, Yudishtira, must become the new king, but he and the old king, Dhritarashtra, mourn the cost of life in this victory. The theater world owes a great debt to Peter Brook, and we are pleased to honor him through this performance.

Tickets are available through the Bolton Theater Box Office, 740-427-5546, beginning at 1 p.m. on January 30, 2023, and at the door if not sold out.
