Please join Kenyon Gamelan Ensemble (aka Music 485: Asian Ensemble) for our end-of-semester performance on Saturday, May 2, in Rosse Hall at 3 p.m.
Gamelan is a traditional music ensemble from Indonesia, featuring different types of bronze percussion (mainly gongs and metallophones), plus drums, xylophone, fiddle, zither, flute and vocals.
We'll be playing new and traditional repertory for the ensemble, joined by guest performers from Friends of the Gamelan, Chicago.
