The Department of Neuroscience welcomes Tim Hsu '02 for two talks on Nov. 1, both in Higley Hall Auditorium.

At 11:10 a.m. Hsu will share his journey from undergrad to his current role as director of health technology initiatives at the AFDO/RAPS Healthcare Products Collaborative. It will be an interactive discussion and a chance to ask in-depth questions about how/why his Kenyon degree has been his most valuable one and why it has helped propel him to his current position leading FDA and Industry Initiatives across medical device, combination products and pharma spaces.

At 4:10 p.m. Hsu will lead a discussion about the liberal arts education and its applicability to a rapidly (and continuously) changing world. How does this gain traction amidst the maturation confluence? Wait, what maturation confluence? Exactly! What is the difference between information and knowledge? How should we be thinking about it? Why is a Kenyon graduate uniquely skilled to excel in an environment that requires multiple (and complementary) knowledge sets. Hsu will share the need for Kenyon grads in a space like artificial intelligence (through the lens of health and healthcare).
