On Monday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m. in Brandi Recital Hall, the Department of Political Science and the Center for the Study of American Democracy will host a conversation with Palestinian and Israeli peace activist about the future of the Middle East.

Organized and hosted by Adam Singer '96, the participants are Adnan Jaber and Michal Greenfield. Jaber, born to a Muslim family in East Jerusalem and educated at a private Christian school in the Old City, is a Palestinian peace activist who works by day as a tech entrepreneur. Greenfield, born in Los Angeles and educated in Israel, is an artist and curator. Singer met Jaber through Tech2Peace, an organization that brings Israelis and Palestinians together to "use conflict dialogue and team-building activities to create a safe space for young people of all backgrounds and beliefs to meet, express their beliefs, and work with the 'other side,'" in the words of their mission statement.

Jaber and Greenfield will tell about their experiences as peace activists who grew up on the Palestinian and Israeli sides of the current conflict and answer audience questions about the war, their efforts to promote peace and their hopes for the future.
