Carter and his team collaborate with the campus community to ensure the security and availability of critical systems and services, including wireless and core networking infrastructure, physical and virtual servers, and comprehensive management of the campus security posture. He serves as a member of the IT leadership team and actively contributes to the cybersecurity, network infrastructure and campus web teams.
Carter joined the Information Technology Department in 2016 as a web applications and integration specialist before advancing to director of strategic infrastructure in 2023. Prior to his joining at Kenyon College, he provided technical support, web development, and application integration services for The Ohio State University, The University of Kentucky and Chase Bank.
