Carisa and her team oversee the design, implementation and management of identity and access management (IAM) policies, standards and technologies across the organization. She serves as a thought leader in identity governance, authentication and access control, driving strategic initiatives that align with enterprise security objectives. As a member of the IT leadership team, Carisa actively contributes to the broader cybersecurity, network infrastructure, systems and IAM functions, fostering collaboration and alignment across key technology domains.

Carisa joined the IT department at Kenyon College in 2005 as an administrative and technology consultant. Over the years, she advanced through several roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in her appointment as senior director of identity and access management in 2023.

Prior to her tenure at Kenyon, Carisa provided IT support to Rocky Mount Medical Center, where she played a key role in transitioning their systems to electronic medical records. She also served as the primary IT support contact at UNX Incorporated, managing all aspects of technical support for the organization.
