Intern Hiring

  • July 15, 2026-27 Funding Application Deadline: Deadline to submit application for funding awards for fall and spring semesters.* You must have a position posted in Handshake for a complete application.
  • July 24: Funding decision notification date.
  • Sept. 11: Recommended date by which to extend internship offers.**
  • Sept. 14: Date by which organizations receiving intern funding must notify the Director of Internships (misartia@kenyon.edu) of their selected hire(s).

2027

  • Jan. 25: Date by which organizations receiving intern funding must confirm with the Director of Internships (misartia@kenyon.edu) that interns have returned for spring.
  • Feb. 12, Summer 2027 Funding Application Deadline: Deadline to submit application for funding awards for summer 2027. You must have a position posted in Handshake for a complete application.
  • Feb. 19: Summer funding decision notification date.
  • April 2: Recommended date by which to extend internship offers.**
  • April 5: Date by which organizations receiving intern funding must notify the Director of Internships (misartia@kenyon.edu) of their selected hire(s) and any on-campus housing needs.

** You may hire according to your own timeline, but we recommend certain dates to
improve chances of yielding on offers and aligning with Kenyon programming
that supports the development and cohesion among all interns participating in the
Kenyon Community Internship Program.
