The BFEC is honored to host an annual photography contest in which anyone may submit photos of what they find beautiful, unique or even haunting about our Knox County landscape. The result is a collective appreciation of the nature that surrounds us and of our good fortune in calling this corner of Ohio our home.
Thank you to all of those who submitted work for our 2014 contest! Congratulations to Madeleine Manly, whose photo "Forest Pearls", pictured above, took first place in the student division. Please see additional student division entries below, and look for adult and children's images coming soon.
Interested in entering our 2015 contest? All community members are invited to submit their work - novices are welcomed! The submission deadline is mid-October, typically the Monday before the BFEC Harvest Festival, and a contest show is held on during the Harvest Festival.
The contest offers prizes in three divisions: adult, children's (15 & under) and student, which are selected by a juried panel. In addition, Harvest Festival attendees select "People's Choice" winners. Feel free to view 2014 guidelines below (though they are subject to change for 2015).
